Today’s freebie is a Google Pixel 2 XL (PSD) mockup crafted by Dwayne Chris Milford, a freelance designer from Jamaica.

The angle Dwayne Chris Milford chose for this Google Pixel 2 XL mockup is what makes it worth downloading in the first place.
The phone is tilted diagonally and cropped tight, floating above a coastal aerial shot that bleeds off the edges of the frame in a way that feels almost editorial rather than like a stock device render.
That bleed effect, where the background photo extends beyond the phone itself, is a nice touch that makes the whole composition feel like a piece of art direction rather than a plain spec sheet.
You can see the Pixel 2 XL’s actual hardware details rendered with real care: the dual front-facing speaker grilles, the slim bezels for a 2017-era flagship, the power button in that signature coral red against the white and black two-tone body, and the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor position implied by the camera bump layout.
This level of hardware accuracy matters if you’re designing for an audience that will notice inconsistencies, like a portfolio piece aimed at other designers or a case study for a client who owns the device.

Swapping In Your Own Screen
Because the screen mockup already contains a fully dressed home screen, replacing it is mostly a matter of finding the layer or smart object that holds the display content and dropping your own screenshot or app design into that space.
Keep your replacement image at a similar aspect ratio to the Pixel 2 XL’s tall 18:9 display so nothing gets stretched or cropped awkwardly once it’s placed back into the perspective.
If you’re showing an app interface rather than a home screen, you’ll want to design your screen at native proportions first, then bring it in as the full display layer so status bar and content line up naturally.
